Jamaica Bicycle Bash
Go anywhere on the island and you'll see incredible examples of Jamaican bicycling skills. From the youth that flies through traffic on one wheel, to the man riding through Ochi with a string of fish IN EACH HAND - great riders are all over the place. In 2007 the Oracabessa Foundation partnered with the St. Mary Off-Road Bicycling Association (SMORBA) to create an event that celebrates this unique bicycling culture.
Dubbed the Jamaica Bicycle Bash - the event is filled with competitions and races that test riders' skills in a fun-filled environment. The Rambolympics, RamboRace, Bunny Hop and Stunt Course are all crowd favorites.
Staged in early February at James Bond Beach in three short years the Bicycle Bash has become a calendar event for all bicycling loving Jamaicans. If you'd like more information you can go to www.smorba.com
