Environmental Projects

Jamaica is a land of awesome natural beauty. Unfortunately, like many other places in the world, that natural beauty is under threat. As a coastal community Oracabessa is particularly interested in the health of Oracabessa Bay. The Oracabessa Foundation has two projects in particular that address this issue:

Oracabessa Marlin Tournament
It may seem counter-intuitive to list a marlin tournament as an environmental program. But proceeds from the event go towards the St. Mary Fishermen's Cooperative's efforts to promote sustainable fishing among its members. Learn more about the Tournament here.
